NEW KORG ELECTRIBE SERIES

Korg is continuing on with the famous Electribe series after it's success with the Volca. They are geared up and ready to ship out a Synth box jammed with the King KORG sound engine and a Sampler box that will be Ableton Live friendly. Both can run off 6 AA batteries and designed slim and sleek with back lit pads, effects and a touchpad. Very similar to the NANOpad. The synth looks and sounds great as I am a fan of KORG sound, but I am not to sure about the Sampler, although it has a lot of hands on effects which is said to be for the live performer. How the sampler will compete with the likes of Maschine I don't know, but I guess we will hear and see more about it as time goes.

So you have just enough of your hard earned cash to purchasing the best Headphones for all your studio needs. You are looking for comfort, style, durability, and sound quality. You know what's out there, since Headphones have become a market phenomenon like Nike and iPhone, but you don't follow the hype, you just want what you honestly really need.

I have narrowed it down to a few of what I think are top quality brands. Some you may already know and some I may turn you on to. All in all, take a look and make your decision. I just think that knowing can put you a step closer to making a satisfied purchase.

I start off with these guys, because they are well known and honestly make great Headphones. Even for a small budget you can purchase the ATH-M20X at under $100 and they are studio quality.

BELL'O DIGITAL

I am pretty sure you have never heard of Bell'O Digital. They don't make an assortment of Headphones, but what they do make IS a great Headphone for under $50!

JBL

If you have the money, do it like the big boys with JBL. A name that's been in the game for years and still holding up. AND IF YOU ARE READING THIS AROUND THE TIME OF THIS POST, PICK UP THE SYNCHROS S700 AT ALMOST $100 OFF!

HOUSE OF MARLEY

You know Marley was sparking it up way before Dre. House of Marley are making some great instruments with style that you could expect. If you haven't checked them out yet, make it over to their site now! Not only do they make a quality stylish Headphone, they make a beautiful wood speaker system too that is available.

PHILIPS

These guys have been making technology since the hey days and maybe to your surprise won an award for their Headphones in 2013 (check out the O'Neill Crash). Philips has an array of Headphones in many styles. On-ear, over-ear, in-ear whatever it may, be they have it. And, btw I think they make one of the very best in-ear Headphones out there that you can pick up in any store.

So, this concludes our little run down of Headphones out there you should take look at while you are in the market of purchasing.

MPC STUDIO VS. MASCHINE BY NATIVE

Shopping for a production controller? Two of the best, MPC and Native Instruments compete. Which one is best for you?

A quick note to anyone looking to buy a Native Maschine. If buying used, make sure the software account is cancelled or not in use. Maschine software is registered by the owners, so if you buy used you could be stuck not able to use the device fully. There are also "student registries" that are difficult to transfer to new owners, so be very wary when shopping used for a Maschine.
Until Native makes a change, buying and selling a used Maschine can be sketchy.
